Went offshore to look for a grouper or b-liner but must have caught 7-8 dozen bsb instead. But then I hooked into this monster:
16" Oyster Toad. My personal biggest and he fought like hell.

Ha, no. We thought about mounting it for a trophy. All the guys at the club would be impressed.
I’m going to be bold and claim this oyster toad is a state record, at least until someone provides evidence to the contrary.

I had the same idea of it looking like monkfish and tried a smaller oyster toad last year. It did not even come out as good as catfish. I know a little about cooking fish, but maybe we did something wrong. Any thoughts?
