I forgot to post this. My father came to visit last September and I was able to take him out on his first saltwater fishing trip. He caught a 26 and 32 inch red. It was definitely a trip worth remembering.
I filmed this with an SJ4000. Its a knock off go pro but I actually prefer it over the go pro. You can find it on amazon for about $80 and its compatible with go pro accessories, incase anyone is interested.
Your dad looks happy. These are days you should not forget. I never had the experience of fishing with my dad since he passed at a young age. That?s one reason I love taking my friends out when their dads are in town. It?s all about memories.

thanks guys. My old man doesn’t get to visit often so it was cool to watch him catch his first saltwater fish. He said bluegill/bass fishing back home in PA don’t compare to redfish lol.

We were only out 3 hours and caught those 2 reds and 5 keeper sized whiting, so we got lucky enough to catch dinner as well! With as much as time as you spend on the water you should get one! My SJ4000 is only $78 on amazon! It takes all of the go pro accessories and the batteries are very cheap along with the memory card. You can find all of the accessories cheap on amazon too. It has an lcd viewing screen and does still shots in HD.
Just info;;; I’ve been watching some of the videos of trips and fish; got my interest up since I play around in photog. Went into Sears
surplus store and saw an Emerson water proof camera kit w/enclosure and rail type mounting rig $50.00 . Can’t say how it’s gonna work
under real life but on trial and error in and around yard it’s impressive , it also audio records conversation as it videos. Enclosure states submersible to around 10ft " not much " but still!!!
I’ll post real results when and if avail!!!
