My first fishing trip in SC

I just moved to the area less than one week ago. I have been reading the forum for a while now trying to get an idea of good areas to fish and techniques to try. After dodging out some thunderstorms, the rail finally died out. I set out at Remleys and headed up river. I fished the first two hours of the incoming tide. I scrounged out a few trout on a pearl paddler soft bait on a quarter ounce lead head. I also caught some small bluefish. I decided to give the topwater action a shot and tied on a bone colored Zara spook jr. I couldn’t believe the violent strikes, just awesome. Unfortunately, I never landed a darn thing with the topwater bait despite about 6 good bites.

Welcome to Charleston.
