Good ol’ ScottyD took me out in his flats boat and showed me a few spots and I was able to finally hook AND land 2 beautiful reds OTF!!! I saw them laying up on a bank between the grass and the shore, tossed in a bunny strip minnow fly and they did not like it one bit. Switched up to a crab pattern and it was game on… he sucked in the fly and ran for deeper water… got him in the boat for some CPR, and released him strong to fight another day, within 5 minutes I saw another one and laid a fly up in front of him and I saw the gills flare and the fly disappear and it was #2 on!! Whoo Hoo!!! AWESOME DAY… the first one was about 24" and the second about 22"… not bad for my first reds OTF. Bigt props to ScottyD… he is the man !!! heres the pix…
hey scotty is ur lostman ice blue?.. also what gps do you got on that?.. im getin a caiman & tryin to decide on wat gps to get… that color u got looks SHarp… Nice fish too!
its a mix of ice blue and carolina blue. the unit is a garmin 440s. it is a sick unit with more features than i can use but some really cool ones are the countdown timer on the tide charts, mariners eye view and the (next bday gift)-the vison card which has aerial photos and sat imagary.
the Caimen is a badazz skiff. the lines on that thang are mean nasty. it is such a cool company to deal with also, which was a major plus for me- hell i stayed with the owner the last few days of my build…anny other builder do that? you’ll love em…i want a gladesmen for a cast and blaster now. which will lead to a deserved divorce im sure
