First zucchini of the year
The shad did the trick

Got my first okra and cucumber a couple days ago
I need a okra whisperer to help me with these stunted plants.lol

It might be the drought. Both plantings of corn for me have all but died.

My squash has flowers, but the plants are stunted and tiny.

Flowers come up and wilt within days.

Then we got 5 inches of rain in the past 10 days and it looks like most of my young seedlings of beans, peppers, and broccoli are literally saturated and laying over.

I might have to just quit this year, it’s the worst growing season I have ever witnessed.

Thanks
I don’t feel so bad now

We got our first okras the other day and are experimenting with 4 different varieties. A little later than we wanted but we are setting up our sweet potatoes in burlap sacks on top of our woodchipped front yard. Harvested a peach and some plums the other day. Strawberries have done well in their first season and our blackberries are popping off

Here we go!

Blueberries are all but done

Blackberries are on and blowing up

Raspberries are a fun experiment

Picking our first brandywine when it stops pouring

Carrots winding down

Okra struggling here too

Corn that made it so far, and some squash.

See, I wasn’t kidding

Volunteer pumpkins from last season.

The big pumpkins will be planted July 4th weekend this year. Hopefully tar will put them ready to harvest first week of October. I’m always early on them, so I’m trying to get it dialed in!
