I blame EF mostly… although he’s 500 miles away.
23, that’s enough to raise a man’s blood pressure.
I had one left yesterday that i was waiting to pick this morning after my hunt. ■■■■ deer got it last night! All in all, they got about 15 melons in my little spot. Hopefully they don’t do the same to the pumpkins!
I’m suprized they haven’t wipped out your sunflowers. I’ve never had deer eat pumpkins like a watermelon, but have had them eat the vines of one.
Got a couple more weeks before the peanuts will be ready.
Should have corn again around the end of this week
I cant give the tomatoes away as fast as they are coming off

My granny pioneered the onion sack two handed fruit picking necklace back in the late '50’s just outside of Rocky Top.
What a gal…
EF, got to give credit were it is due. You have a great garden, Maybe I can give you some big turnips to try this year if I do a deer plot.
You can make some good wine from those plums.
On the carrots, I'll Raise and call. These were from Dad's garden the last crop he ever planted. Got two these containers of them.
What are you going to do with all those carrots at once? Give away? Im stingy with mine because they keep so well inground until around Thanksgiving.
When I was a kid we were poor old dirt farmers for real. I swore if I ever made it out of there I would never again sucker, stake, nor dry, hang and cure another single tobacco stalk, nor would i milk another cow, castrate another hog, or eat another pithy boiled turnip ever again.
For the record, i always keep my promises.
Bait…
Ate
Fried green tomatoes in my near future
I’ve suckered 'bacca up in Conway for a week one summer at my neighbor’s family’s place, black soil burned my feet through my shoes and had resin up to my elbows. Those country folk would work my lil city slicker azz… even let drive the tractor on occasion. I thought I was doing great but I’m sure I was slowing them down. Learned to ride a horse back then, too… been 30 years ago now… some good memories regardless.
I never pulled another cow teat after I left home what a thankless job to force your kid to do.
Use to get a nickel to go to bed without supper then had to give it back for breakfast.
Hated bailing stubble hay, pulling weeds in soybean fields and brambling fences
Made me what I is
I took like a 10 seconds video and it won’t post like a photo tell me how to do it but make it simple
Liked Levon noticed no diary cows cuz they wouldn’t of had time to sing
Nice punkins I’ll buy 4 from you if the 1st pair is free and the 2nd pair are free for buying the 1st pair? Like to put them on the front stoop
No video. Uploadd to YouTube and post a link
Haha Is that a winter squash back there? I’m gonna try to get some collards out next week.Heckuva a garden this year! I will have to step it up
@sman
Just crooknecks today. This was the best garden year that I can remember in years, in over a decade anyway.
We had a couple of really cold spells last winter that seems to have beat the bugs back a little.
Then we had some late snows that gave the ground a good soaking.
Then we had no late frosts, so all the fruit trees are laden and the ground got warm earlier.
Then we had decent rain every few days.
I always smile when my SC buddies say they cant believe how far I am behind them garden wise because they get theirs first.
Thanks for the reminder, I need to get some collards going soon too
I would ask about that boykin yard dog of yours, but it seems asking about guys dogs flips some of these guys switches way toohard
