Me, DoubleSea and BDawg decide to take our chances. We hoped for Hoo’s and maybe Tuna…To our suprise we caught no Wahoo and only one Skipjack, and 11 Dolphin.
It was a great way to start the year. We had a few issues. My primary GPS went out mid morning, my backup GPS also failed. Good thing DoubleSea brought his handheld. We knew how to get home, but needed the GPS for our trolling speed.
We had lines crossed and were about to clear them when 1 of them went off. 30 seconds later the other went off. Then a 3rd lines goes off. After a firedrill of getting the rest out the way, we reallize all 3 lines were twisted and we are fighting the same fish. I will let yall guess at the weight (we did not weigh it). But it was truely a fish the whole boat caught. And since it is my boat I get to post the picture of me holding it

Dang, that last dolphin pic is quality. Nice going. What general area/depth were you guys fishing?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Thanks everyone. It was a great way to start the season. I looked back at last year. Me and DoubleSea went April 24 2009 and put 9 dolphin in the boat, so this is could be the start of a good year
Burned 47 gallons on the day. That is not bad at all. We estimate that we went 175 miles. that means 3.7 mpg…I can live with that.
