Having fun just dreaming up flies to tie and try

Not sure if you are going to attract them or maybe scare them but… at least you are having fun with your new hobby.

Actually, the second fly looks a lot like a shrimp I have had good luck with on 3 or 4 species. Looking good. Keep posting.

Like the crab.
Try attaching eyes to top of hook shank, rather than bottom. Hooks tend to dull, and snag, dragging across bottom.

Thanks for the suggestion, that never occurred to me

have you ever tried Sculpin wool for the bodies? its much easier (fewer figure 8 sections) to tie in i think…and unless your tryin to keep it floatin or susp, it looks better IMHO than EP fibers or various poly yarns.

Y’all are giving me way too much credit for having a clue. LOL. These are my 4th and 5th fly I have ever tied. So the comments and suggestions are all most welcome. I am a sponge for knowledge.

We could suggest flies to tie and you could keep running to the store to buy more stuff OR you could tell us or take a picture of what you have and we could suggest variation based on what you have. I try not to buy every material and every color available. You can tie a lot of flies with a handful of materials. Up to you.

Go to a flyshop and watch others tying…

I was going to suggest EP Fibers until Scotty bashed them haha, your killing me. Those look pretty good for 4th or 5th flies though, you do deserve some credit. Now try spinning deer hair adds a whole new element
