I had a problem with my Mag lite. The flashlite was about ten years old. The problem was that I couldn’t get the old batteries out to change them. The tail cap was stuck on the shaft of the flashlite. I looked online and it talked about the problem possibly being caused by leaking batteries but also said the flashlites have a lifetime warranty. I shipped it back to the company and they sent me a brand new one FREE OF CHARGE!!!

can’t beat awesome customer service…I bet every light you can buy from now on will be a Mag Lite…they have done their job…

Mag Lites are great lights no doubt, and I even use them. But yellow light really does just get blown away by the new L.E.D. lights

I have a LED in my 2 D cell maglite…bright as day. cant find a LED for the 5 D cell though. Bought one at lowes that was supposed to work, but it does not. it was $14. any leads on a LED for the 5 D cell would be greatly appreciated.

Mt dept. issues maglights and we get a lot back in coroded shut because batteries were changed regularly. They are great, heavy-duty lights but we are moving to smaller tactical LED lights. You can’t beat the size and amount of light they put out.

Take a look at some of these… particularly in the custom section. These guys have it bad…actually I had a custom one time, but someone liked it too much…

Surefire also has a lifetime warranty. They’re also MUCH BRIGHTER than anything Maglight has ever produced. :slight_smile:

Dorado, had the same thing happen to a mutual friend of our’s light. Took it home to pry out the batteries but the light was toast. So he says hang on to the tube because they make great silencers ! Needless to say the parts are in the garage waiting for that day…HMMM.

Hey Skulls, yeh it’s not like I had my reciept or anything. I just boxed it up and wrote a note to say what was wrong. That flashlight was at least ten years old.
