just because the majority of americans thinks my flag is racist- it doesn’t make it so. 90% of all slavery that occured in this country happened under the good old united states flag and most of the slaves in this country were brought here by the british. those flags should be construed as the racist flags.
the flags of the confederacy were flown by a soverign nation that declared it’s independance from it’s parent country, just like the usa did with england, and the war was not fought over slavery, like you were taught in whatever school you attended, but was fought over the same reasons all wars are fought- money and power.

It pleases me to know how much you take pride in something that occurred 150 years ago and had nothing to do with. And further more I am a contributing member to this state and enjoy living here. Its just some of the people that are messed up. Thats great that the flag at one time was USED(past tense) to represent independence(how the word is actually spelled) now that the war is over and has been for sometime… the flag is no longer viewed that way. Your not a rebel, get over it. That flag now is directly correlated with major racist groups and ignorant rednecks. And don’t get mad that lil ol’ jeffery was a micro manager and focused too much on the minor details and pretty much doomed the south from the beginning. I am sorry but Im not leaving and I hate to tell you but the north is sending in reinforcements to overpopulate this area so get used to it. budro.
