Thanks for the info. Another craigslist trick is to buy Corian countertops from someone upgrading their kitchen to granite. I’ve bought several whole kitchens for $200 and usually you can talk them into throwing anything that is built in as well, like sinks and even gas ranges. I ended up with my whole kitchen surfaces redone for less than $400 including sink/faucet and all counters. I even ended up with a new peninsula supported with a newell post that helped the kitchen be an eat in kitchen (it’s an old house). I had a set for an outdoor kitchen and some old mill bricks until I realized I wasn’t the brick mason I thought I might be, sold all of that but kept the dream.
BUSTED!!! Ross’s parents over on Coosaw posted pics on FB of their deck expansion and told them they needed to take a look at these and that Ross’s dad didn’t shoot me for telling his mom especially since I wouldn’t show them to my wife…forgot that my wife would see the FB post too…well crap…Jim where did you say you got the five burner top???
HOWEVER my wife does realize that our colder temps (hit -14 last week for a HIGH on Mon) would severely limit just how much of this could incorporated up here…unfortunately I do know that Ross’s dad knows how to shoot
Thanks, FF. I really enjoy cooking on it. The egg grill is “the bomb” and I’ve been able to do all my cooking on one instead of 3 or 4 grills. I gave away my charcoal grill to my son, sold my Weber gas grill and am trying to sell my Traeger wood pellet grill. The Traeger cost me $335 at Grayco here in Beaufort, and I’m asking $175 if anyone is interested. Pic below the post.
Dadsfr, I found the used Dacor 5-burner LP gas cooktop on Craigslist for $200. It sells for $1650 to $1800. A really nice WWII vet had it…he thought it was bad and bought a new one, but the installer looked at it and said it only needed a new gasket on one burner. He already had the parts to fix it.
I didn’t make it or have it! I have a friend down in Dolphin Island, AL that built it and I just thought it was kind of neat! Looks like an easy project.
