My new ride...

Finally signed the papers on my new ride! Blackjack 224…dream boat of 3+ years but knew I could never afford. Finally a reality, courtesy of a gent that said she was too small for him! My gain! 65+ mph in 2 foot chop without a stutter, plus a staggering 4.73 mpg @ 3500 rpm and 35 mph. That from a Yamaha 250 SHO!

Big front flare bow and tumblehome aft with spray bar like the big Carolina boats…she’s my new baby. Came with 10’ Blade PP, plus Lowrance HDS Gen 2 w/HD Structure Scan. I’m adding my Garmin 70dv touch also. Can’t wait to get a trolling motor on her plus a whole lotta fish slime and even a little blood!

(Lord help me to stay off the throttle so it’s not my blood on her deck!)

Nice boat Jim now go break it in with some big fish and yes stay off that throttle way to fast

Nice rig Jim. Big boat must mean big fish! Looking forward to a ride in that one.

Thanks Guys!

Nice ride Jim. I guess you won’t be needing that sun shade to fit in your leaning post.:sunglasses:

Bob…started looking for a t-top boat about 2 weeks after we last emailed about the leaning post sun shade. My son is getting the Scout, but I doubt he can afford to add it. He may not be able to afford the Scout!

I love them boats. The only other blackjack I have seen in SC is out of Georgetown and it is definitely a headed turner. His is lighter colored blue though.

Man!..that looks like a nice ride. I would love to take a ride on that and stick my head up in all of the storage compartments. I really like the heavier bow with chines to keep the ride dry in a little slop.

You’re gonna definitely need a 60" shaft TM, but I would look real hard at a 72" shaft. You can get them through Minn Kota.

My Mako has kinda of higher bow and I have a 60" shaft. A close interval 1’ chop will cause the prop to break the surface sometimes. Another 12" inches of shaft would be nice.

Again…congrats…super nice ride!

Holy Smoke! What a ride! Even the trailer looks fast! That black hull would look great with a big Garnet Gamecock flag up on the T-Top… Can’t have any orange on that boat with that black, it’ll look like Halloween…

I gotta get Debbie to buy me one of those…

Gosh Jon Boy…if only I’d consulted you before decorating…

Congrats Jim… I started looking at the Blackjack’s a couple years back and decided if I ever hit the lottery that would be my purchase. Hard to find anyone that wants to sell them once they get them. Even kept a brochure on my desk until I couldn’t bare looking at it any longer. A wonderfully laid out boat, super fast, with nothing but quality throughout. I definitely would like a ride in that! Way to go…

Good looking boat!!! What a great reason not to work.

I thought all Blackjacks were 21’s ??

Have fun, Cam

Go to Vegas, hit the jackpot at Black Jack and wire me the money Cam!

What a beautiful boat! I know nothing about this kind of boat at all, but those are IMPRESSIVE stats. Congrats!
