15 boats at the island, beautiful day. Mostly families, only one boat radio on, nicemusic, but not loud at all.
Two 20 yr olds in a 22 ft or so white Boston whaler registered in NY came up and after about an hour lit up the radio in the boat so loud you could hear it 300 ft in any direction.
Maybe the beer does it- I wonder how they get thru life so unaware of their surroundings.
Then coming under the Ravenel Bridge , had a senior lady driving, she had never driven before, going 4000 RPM maybe 30 in a straight line, mr hot shot ran by us so close from astern I could have underhanded a grapefruit into his boat- had to have been going 55 in a 25 ft or so center console, two 6 and 8 yr old age kids in the back looking around. Idiot.
Just a rant I guess.
I have seen the same Boston Whaler at the ramp at Wappoo. Blocking all three ramps waiting for the trailer to back in and then throwing a rooster tail on the guy next to him because he took issue with how the BW was pimping everyone else. Apparently thats how you can act if you are from New York
Pretty sure I’ve seen the same guys out at Morris about a month or so ago. That particular day they had a couple girls with them (who looked even more shifazzed than the guys) dancing on the boat. I don’t normally have a problem with that kind of thing, did plenty of it in my day, but there is a time and a place - and a beach full of families ain’t it. I would understand if everybody there was partying and I was the only one dumb enough to bring kids, but it wasn’t like that at all. It was pretty obnoxious, and they seemed completely oblivious (or just didn’t care) that everybody else on the beach was not enjoying their music as much as they were.
one of my many pet peeves, i have a stereo on my boat, but dont play it when i go to morris, capers, dewees etc, i love music but i dont want to hear your music when i go such beautiful places, keep it turned down on the beach, turn it up when cruising
