My Ride 135 Rigging

Bought my kayak last year from DolphinDave and have been enjoying it ever since. First thing I added was a cooler that I had attached a couple rod holders to.

I pretty much left it like that for awhile so I could figure out what I wanted before I started drilling a bunch of holes in my boat. Added an anchor trolley, and a stick it pole anchor later in the year.
Caught some nice fish over the last year.
Small reds

Medium reds

And Big reds

Then this year I added a little fishfinder and then I just picked up a new seat.

Looking forward to another good year of fishing.

Very nice rig!

How do you like the new seat compared to the high seat it came with… Worth changing? Nice setup.

It’s a huge difference. More comfortable, sits a little higher than the old high seat. But I think the biggest advantage is being able to drop into the low position and it makes paddling is so much easier. I got to test drive one the other day and I couldn’t image going back to the old seat.

Rob,

Nice rig dude. I bought my ride 115 last year with the high seat and love it. It is my first kayak ever. I am still getting comfortable standing up in it when I have it fully loaded. I finally made my own scupper cart last fall and use that to load into the back of my subaru with the seats down and a tarp in the car. Then I tie it in with kayak straps. Then all I have to do is to pull my rods out at the ramp and unload the yak (pre-rigged) from home and down to the boat ramp. Makes it easy. Here is my youtube page.

Looks great Rob. I like the looks of that seat, mine has the older, low one. Comfortable enough but have been wanting to check out that one. If you don’t mind me asking, how much was that and did you get it through Timeout?

Yeah. I got it from Timeout. They go for like $350 but I got a little discount for buying my kayak from there last year.
