My Tailwalker Experience

Stewart put on an excellent tournament considering these economic times. We had a great time. Congrats to all the winners. The first day most teams had trouble finding bait in Georgetown. The bait that was everywhere Thursday seemed to disappear. Friday we looked for bait from Georgetown to Murrels Inlet. It did not help that there was a lack of pelican activity. We did not find bait in the bay until noon. After catching bait so late we did not make the run south to our planned fishing spot. We fished in close and caught 5 sharks. The second day went better, we sat on two spots and waited and waited and finally some snips. We had bait by 8:00 without the assistance of pelicans. Our fishing luck sort of improved. We had a good fish hit around 11:00 we finally got her to the boat only to have a Cuda remove the bottom third or so. I will not speculate on her size. The piece that was left weighted 23 lbs. Our one good fish was for naught.

sounds like all in all a good time despite the hard aches and set backs. Was not able to fish this years tourney due to a family wedding. They put on a good tourney every year. They are good people that take care of ya they have been around a long time.

Miss Jenn, we were right there with you. We waited it out in the jetty’s to get bait on friday and they came up at 8:00. Then we ran south and picked up a 15lb. fish and it was points.
Went for the home run on Saturday and fished the tideline and at the palm tree hole. Rat Pack and Daddy’s Money both got a good fish while I kept the 8’-9’ Hammerhead occupied.
