I have been blessed with some jumbo shrimp this week! Pretty good eatin too. Just go to the frozen seafood section at Wal-Mart. They are only $12.99 per bag. I never had to throw the net…
You can also buy fish in the same section and never have to cast a reel!

I see white caps!” Let your wife do what we women do best take care of yall. You wil be out there before U know it!
We leave the house at 5am and put the water poles in at 8ish. Wide open for 2 days and back to the house. I am crazy this time of year and act like a dang lab-“Is it time to go?”

Please don’t buy those imported shrimp. Not only do they hurt our local commercial watermen but they might also be hurting you and your family. These shrimp ponds in third world countries often are nothing but cesspools. Who knows what viruses and bacteria are in them?
Also, they taste like the crap they were raised in.

Jus so you know…I was making a joke…I’m smarter than the Wal Mart crappola… I may have to spend the afternoon heading shrimp for a buddy to be rewarded with a little shrimp bounty… Can’t wait for the opportunity to set up near you Heather…Sounds like the typical day on the water with us also… We have agreed that what happens on the water, Stays on the water! Unlike a couple buddies…SHE has never tossed me in!!!
hey guys; i do buy from walmart. they are hiring 55000 extra people this year with a large emphasis on 18000 veterans and increasing the hourly wage and giving them benefits. they are not all bad. then again; to each their own opinion especially those that do not keep up with the national news. but then again; i feel that way about my local bi-lo. the mgr embarrassed my bride over an ad that she was holding from his store. he was once a good friend until the come to jesus meeting i had with him. have not been in that store in over four years. will actually drive 10 miles farther to another bi-lo. i realize also that hard heads make soft asses but hey jack; that is what i went off with uncle sam for almost 45 years ago; so that i can have choices.
^^ I totally agree. I buy many “staple” items from Wal-mart. They are one of the largest companies here in Camden. There are a couple of places here I refuse to patronize because of rude, bad service. I’ll downtalk the Armory restaurant any and every chance I get. Rude, overpriced,slow,terrible service, mediocre food…The list is endless… I’ll cook it myself!

If you’re buying the bag shrimp from Walmart, you better beware. Most are farm raised in Thailand, China ,etc. and are fed mega antibiotics and steroids. Wouldn’t eat them if you paid me! Seriously…don’t buy that crap!!!

The imported shrimp prices are way up this year because of diseases and whatnot getting in the ponds and killing the shrimp. The local shrimp are actually cheaper than the imported stuff plus I like knowing that my shrimp weren’t in a nasty pond eating tilapia turds their whole life 
Tilapia turds. Good one. I’m going to use that again in a conversation at some point today.
