Mystery boat ramp

While looking at the back of North Inlet on Google Maps, I found a nice ramp…Does anyone know what this is ? Public ? Private ?

Part of the Belle Baruch center I believe.
Not accessible by the public…
But accessible if U happen to know someone in high places…:sunglasses:

What he said^^^^^ there’s only 2 public onesthat i know of, G-town to north end of Wynah and one on sw end of bay , south Rd I think is name of rd to landing. There is also another private landing up near Bordeaux. another one of those “who you know deals”

Oh well…thanks for the info, guys. I sure would’ve loved to launch the yak back there.

I’m sure many of us dream of a secret, private launch only we can use. Looks like some good fishing back there.

“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?

It’s some of the best flounder water in the state but a real PNTA to get to…:frowning_face: Exxxxtra skinnee water to deal with unless you take the ocean route…

I spoke with a guy at Pawley’s Island Outdoors this afternoon…he said the same thing. Excellent fishing, but very tricky to get to. He told me he had it figured out, but he spent many hrs. sitting and waiting on the tide over the years.

Yup, I used to fish it for flounder several years ago, but when the size limits changed and catch / keep rates decreased I got tired of scraping the boat going in and out.
That place constantly changes.
Lots more fishing pressure there now as well…

Only advice i would give anyone going in is to plan on going in on 2nd half of rising tide and coming out before 2nd half of falling tide unless you enjoy just sitting up to your azz in pluff or on top
of oyster rake listening to screech and scratch on boat hull!!:frowning_face: Trust me you won’t enjoy it !:dizzy_face:

Clambank dock, fished there many yrs ago with a Baruch employee so we put in there. Lots of flounder and trout have come out of that area. Hard to get to otherwise, like folks said. Jones creek can be a b*****.

If you haven’t been stuck in NI waiting on the tide, you haven’t fished in there enough!

Happens all the time!

I’ve never made it in there…the last time I was in G-town, I got stuck in Mud Bay…that was a fun day.

Fun day just begins in Mud Bay , it really gets interesting in either
of the creeks from the bay . Wouldn’t flip a coin as to which one is the better.:smiley:With my ride i just don’t venture into KNOWN skinneeeee waters if i can avoid it[:0]

The only way to learn it folks is to go . Clam Bank creek some great fishing in there.

^^^^^ Agreed Mtodd^^^^^^just be prepared and plan your trip wisely:smiley::smiley:

I really want to get in there…but I’m just too spooked to try. It even looks like super skinny water if you come in through the inlet.

Rick ; Until you get your feet wet fishing that area maybe you should
consider finding a guide to take you in the first time… What you see
and learn will be well worth the cost imo. Boat repairs, 6-8 hours sitting azz deep in pluff ain’t no fun:dizzy_face: Another thing especially
from ocean route;;is that inlet constantly changes , clear path today might be a bar in a week or so… The creeks are usually pretty constant if you get a knowledge of them and tides… Still advise a guide, and take along a good camera to help your memory

That sounds like very good advice. I’m trying to talk my wife into a guided trip or two…I could learn in a few days what it would take me years to learn on my own.
