I have a bait that I bought in the bargain bin a year or two ago that has really performed well for me. It’s a walk-the-dog style bait that has NO rattles and has a soft outer shell, i.e. not a soft plastic but not solid like a Zara Spook either. Like you can press your finger into it a little. It has very nice gunmetal-colored hooks and the only identifying mark that I can find on it is a small, tannish biohazard symbol on the TOP of the bait just behind the front treble. The color happens to be white. I started using this bait freshwater for bass and saltwater for trout for those really calm days where a very loud bait may be a little much and it has REALLY caught some fish for me. I’ll reply on this thread later and include a picture to give y’all a better mental image of it. If you know what the bait is called or the company that makes it (biohazard symbol logo) then your input would be much appreciated. Thanks amigos
Sort of sounds like a Corky. Used to be a popular bait in Texas and Louisiana. The outside is soft plastic and the inside is a stick of cork (hence the name) which makes it float. If it is made by Paul Brown and original, may be worth something.
I can see how the description would make it sound like one of those, but I looked at the pictures and its definitely not one of them. You can’t see through the lure and it looks much more like a standard zara spook. The closest thing it looks like is this:

EDIT: ignore the link, it looks like a Lucky Craft Sammy but it’s not a hard bait. Looks like this but with a semi-soft outside:
