N 2 Deep 5/27 Report

We left the dock at 4 am. It was a slow ride out but we had lines in the water at 7 am just past the Edisto Banks. The first hook up only took a few minutes. Then it got crazy. Two nice sails slammed our baits at the same time. We lost one but we landed the other one. By 10:30am we had a full box of Mahi and all fish were caught in 200 - 260 ft of water. There were no temp breaks or rips to be found anywhere. We were just dead water trolling. We also nailed a 25-30lb King high speed trolling. The ride in was nice at 40+ mph.

Good job. Hard to beat days like that.

Solid on the double sail hook up! I was chatting with mike when he got your text yesterday as you cleared the jetties. We were both green with jealously!

Yea, it was an awesome day. I had a great crew on board too. I will remember this one for a while. I have been “snake bitten” on fighting a sail for a quite some time. It was a big relief to finally pull the hook, revive him and watch him swim off. I just hope that someone else will get to experience the fight with again one day.

nice report, glad to see the sails in your report. Great day on the pond and a safe return, what else could you ask for?
