N Bulls Bay 10.15

W entered Bulls Bay from Buck Hall at low tide. The wind was just a wisp, later increasing to about 8mph. The water temperature was 70 degrees. Water was stained but not chocolate. We got a bit more color as the tide came in. We saw “candles” on the fish finder on our way to the north end of the bay indicating the shrimp were there. We set up in 2 feet of water waiting for the tide to move. We single-pole so we scattered bait around the boat and started throwing. We caught shrimp but they never got thick, consistently just a few per throw even when we netted a bait ball. The large shrimp were nicer in size but we caught a mix.

There were lots of boats out. Most were set up in the flats past white banks (we’ve had good luck there in the past) and some along the channel leading to white banks. We left early so didn’t chat with anyone at the ramp. Hopefully, y’all found them thick.

Good times. Cant wait to get back out next week. Glad to hear they have some size. Quality over quantity.
