Got a chance to enjoy this past weekend with my brother paddling the Catawba river just below Lake James in N.C. Used two Wilderness Systems yaks a Tarpon 120 and Tarpon 100. Althought I’m used to Ocean Kayaks these boats performed great. Shallow and allowed me to sneak up on some trout. The first day I used beetle spins I had plenty of bites, but it seemed like the hook may of been to big. So the second day I used some small rooster tails for bait and managed to catch two. Had a great time and got to enjoy a nice lazy Easter.
