Fished N Edisto banks and flats Sat. Water was clear 53 degrees, light wind. Caught several reds ranging from under to well over slot. Fish preferred bait (cut mullet) to artificial (zman soft plastics). Unfortunately, we lost a Stradic/GL2 combo off the side. On the off chance someone comes across it (the flat we lost it on sees a lot of traffic and it’s very shallow so not impossible), please call Kyle at 843 367-5752
Oh man, that’s a nice set up - sorry to hear that. Hope it turns up for you.

I have an identical set-up and it is on my favorites. If you find it, maybe send it in to Loomis and see what they say…the reel is lost.
It’s interesting because I would’ve said the exact same thing had a buddy of mine not salvaged a Battle and GL2 after it sat on the bottom of the Wando for about a week. An upstanding cf member posted that they’d caught it in a cast net. The combo works perfectly after a good cleaning and service by Haddrells. Thanks for the replies and good luck out there.

Don’t be so sure to write the reel off. I once found a set up that had barnacles growing on the eyes of the rod. It had a Penn spinning reel on it. The reel turned freely when I found it. I cleaned it up and still have it to this day, about six years later. Another rod and reel found in the same spot with the other, did not fair as well. That reel was frozen into one solid piece.
Hope someone finds and turns in your set up, it’s a nice one for sure.
I had a Shimano Sahara go over the side last year. Managed to get it back after 2 hours of trying to snag it. The dock owner let me rinse it off with his dock hose and I fished the rest of the day with it. Took it to Haddrells and after a good cleaning/servicing it was put back into service. Still works perfectly today.
