Name the slam...

Dropped in before low tide and fished through initial incoming until sunset.
First spot gave up 2 15" trout. First ones since the freeze and first trout of 2018 along with 4 slot reds.

Caught 1 red in the second spot and realized they weren’t there so we ran up river which turned out to be the right choice.

I started with this healthy 33" red. Unexpected as the reds have been in slot or under with an occasional 27".

My cousins father in-law couldn’t be outdone and after 2 misses finally drove it home right at the side of the boat landing this 32".

My cousin got in the game with a 29" red and a fat LM Bass around 3lbs.

They stayed on the reds as I wrestled 2 large catfish, a small flounder, and a small bass.

As if they weren’t have enough fun, the gators show up. 2 Gators within 2 casts of each other. Quick net and long pliers to pull the hooks an released. Fun but happy to get all those teeth out of the boat.

Somewhere in between all the chaos I managed to pull 2 tagged reds 21" and 24.5". Both released and have been reported.

So Name that slam…
Redfish (under/in/over slot), Tagged Red, Trout, Flounder, Gator, LM Bass, Catfish.

Well, a Margarita Slam (credit to Cracker Larry, RIP) is Red, Trout, Flounder, Striper, LM…I don’t know what that is… 2 gators??? Creole Slam?

“…be a man and PM me.”

Went back and fished the same area Monday. 1 small Red and 1 small Bass.

Gives the impression they are still schooled up and moving around. It’s either on or a dead zone.

Pretty sure I know where you were at,I tried it 2 weeks ago and didn’t catch anything .Tide was higher and incoming though. Thanks for the report ,ya’ll done good.

Well done, for sure!

One heck of a slam. Glad to see a trout but those are some awesome looking Reds. Nice and healthy. Great Job
