Naming a small boat/canoe......

Ok, I have ordered a square stern canoe (15’4) and will put, in the coming months, a 4hp outboard on it (what it’s rated for).
Will be using this inshore and in freshwater.

Just for fun, I’m thinking of naming it something appropriate. What do you think of these? My favorites are the top three, open for suggestions. I know they are cheesy. That’s the point, they are going on a motorized canoe lol.

Swamp Scooter

Millenium Flounder (in Star Wars font)

Rod-N-Roll Express

Boat Scoot Boogie

Mulletstang GT

Mudstang GT

Tinytanic (ok I would never actually use that)

How about S.S. Mudminnow, or A Little Tipsy.

It’ll come to you, after reading your posts, sounds like your first boat,I beleive you’ll love it the most,no matter how many you own,I’m struggling on 3 and still love the 34 yr old duracraft,“PO-Dunk” the most. Have fun and keep your line WET.

You can’t catch fish on a dry line

Marsh-Picker, it will be my first gas powered boat. I have owned a standard canoe for a while now. My father and I owned several, but they were really his to try to keep repaired lol, wasn’t my problem back then. That was 15 years ago and all I had on my mind was my honeybun (now, my wife).

I really posted here more for fun. I’m sure I’ll pick one of the top three but figured I’ve have some fun with it.

How about Loudmouth Largebottom Bass? Too long, but appropriate.

Theres nothing like the "Smell" and sounds of the creek. Its not just one thing that makes it familiar..its all of it.

So if you fall out of the boat, then can just tell everyone that you’re wet from baptizing folks in the river, right? :sunglasses:

I like millennium flounder, glad you were able to find someone to get your boat for you. Congrats.

If you decide on Millennium Flounder, make sure you spell it right: 2 M’s, 2 L’s, 2 N’s (the only way I can remember).

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

USS Marsh Minnow. I was going to add, “Mary Ann or Ginger?” but thought I better not open that up on here!

Good for you, Matt! I like your approach to fishing - enjoy the day with a grin. I agree with Millennium Flounder.

May the fish be with you!

Lol Vinman, I’m going to remember that, except maybe I’ll say “May the Pluff be with you” if I’m fishing in saltwater that day.

A friend of mine, who is basically a Mennonite, suggested I call it my “MinnowKnight Buggy”.

I like the Mellennium flounder

I’m so salt life I sued google earth for giving away all of my fishing spot’s.
