nassau sound, florida?

ive now caught a couple snake kings from a boat but wanna get one off the trolley rig. theres a big pier than spans nassau sound in amelia island florida and im wondering if a trolley rig in the deeper sections could land me a king or anything else with some size to it. found a florida website that claims tarpon come with the fall mullet run but no idea about kings or spanish. any ideas/thoughts?

Used to be really big black drum in winter

This time of year you will be looking at Spanish and some nice size Jack Crevalle. The Farthest point of the bride is going to be your deepest water. I grew up in Fernandina and have never heard of any kings in there. The sound is very shallow and even on a flood tide doesn’t have a lot of water… also may be some tarpon, but that is more likely to be the end of July and August …

World class pompano fishing if you like to wade and explore.
Occasional snook at night during end of a hot summer.
Mangrove snapper if you can find them

ive taken the yak out and paddled along the pogy pods off the beach and so far caught sharks and sail cats, but watched a small cobia steal a bait as i was reeling in to check it. tarpon jumping all over, but havent hoked 1.
