Just curious if anyone checked out the native magic 14.5 at the festival and what their thoughts were.
tracked very well. lots of room. comfortable sitting position and paddling position. I did like sitting slightly higher than I do in my Hobie Outfitter (also a tandem). I did find standing was not any better than in the Outfitter-although I have a lot more time on the latter so perhaps I’m just more comfortable.
In the end, I took home a 12- which is plenty of room for one person. I sea-trialed it down the Folly River and the up Oak Creek last evening. No complaints at all. I do need to add a couple rod holders and there are small platforms behind the seat that would suit them fine. The boat is deep enough one could actually just put flush mounts in- just like a big boat.
