Got a guy that may be interested in trading my canoe for a Native Manata Ray 11. Read a few reviews on them and they sounded positive. Anybody have any input on one?
I have a 14 and its really nice. Very fast. Don’t know about the 11
2000 SeaPro 180CC w/ Yammy 115 2 stroke
1966 13’ Boston Whaler w/ Merc 25 4 stroke “Flatty”
i have had my 14ft since before Native took over the line from Liquid Logic. The seat is excellent and there are plenty of mounting spaces. I think the 11 has the open back w/ the bungee for bucket or milk crate. It may be a bit slower as it seems a bit wider. You don’t really need all the space in the front of the 14, so i would think you would be fine for a fishing kayak w/ the 11 as long as you are not camping or paddling a long distance. Plus the 11 prob. weighs less.
My wife has an 11’ and loves it. I paddle it too but doesn’t track very straight cause it’s so short but will turn on a dime. Great storage in back for my rod crate. Another bonus is it will fit in the back of my pickup and only sticks out a couple feet. The seat is like a Lazy Boy!

Thats a good boat, rigger. I would go for it. You might want something bigger down the road, but that boat should treat you right for a while. Do you know what year it is? The seat was updated for 2010, and the topside outfitting was improved for 2011. Good luck with the boat, give us ahout at the store if you need a hand getting it rigged!

Well the guy changed his mind and decided he did not want to trade. Might be for the better because I really want something a little longer. I think I want to find something in the 12’-14’ range.
Im sure I will be back on here asking about other sit on tops though. Thanks for the opinions on that boat guys.
