Native ultimate 12 or W.S ride 135

Hey just trying to get some ■■■■■■■■ on the 2 kayaks. Ive paddled the Native and liked the fact that I could stand up and cast a flyrod…I have not tried the Ride 135 but have heard its just as stable for standing up in. Anyway let me know what ya think. Also if you have or know anyone trying to sell one
Thanks D

There was a ride 135 on Craigslist the other day.

Both are pretty amazing, but the Ride wins. One big problem w/ the Ultimate is lack of scuppers. If you get in rough water, you can swamp it. It won’t completely sink, but it’s not really floating either.

The WS Ride135 is a nice boat. It’s very stable with the pontoon style hull, but the stability the hull gives it also makes it slow to paddle vs other kayaks I have paddled in that class/price range. I guess it depends on where and what kind of paddling/fishing you want to do. I would paddle it first. The kayak & canoe festival is coming up in April where you can test paddle different boats.

Thanks for all the info. Sunrift adventures here in Greenville is having a Demo day April 6th. So I will test out the ride 135

FYI, I have two 2008 Ride’s at the store with rudders, one Sand, one Yellow. 2009 price is $1100, these are on sale now for $900, plus Wilderness Systems will issue a $50 rebate if purchase is made before April 5.

Let me know if you are interested!
