Native Ultimate

Any of you guys fished the Native Ultimate? I’m looking to purchase a boat mostly for back in the creeks and bays. I have heard they have a lot of stability for standing up. Trying to get some input from you guys. Thanks

These have been discussed a number of times here- try the search function. I have the original NU 12 which I enjoy fishing out of in the creeks. I kept mine simple with just rod holders and a 5-gal bucket in the front for bait, with aerator and 12V alarm battery. I stand in mine on the flats but would want still water.

The newer pedal versions look intriguing as I have a Hobie Ouback tandem which is a wetter ride, but I can pedal.

If you’re near Folly/ JI you can try mine for a while. I think the Kayak & Canoe festival is at JI park soon- you can demo them there on the pond.

You might want to try the Magic. Scuppers are great to have, and the rail system lets you make your own accessories (net and rod holders and tie downs). Not as dry as the ultimate, but I think its more versatile. I’ve had mine in some pretty rough water with no problem.

Thanks for the info.

Stickman: I might take you up on that offer to try your boat out. Thanks

No problem. I’m away this week but my son is there. Let me know.

I have the Majic 14 1/2. It’s great w/lots of options to rail mount.</font id=“blue”>
