Natural selection or just plain dumb luck?

I’m tooling around Wappoo Cut today in the skiff with the dogs, and notice a osprey munching on a flounder. It is perched on the hurricane sign/bridge opening sign just east of the connector bridge. The osprey flies off, but there appears to be another bird perched midway down the sign. I ease in closer and have a look. A bird (now deceased) managed to get it’s head stuck between the sign panels. Natural selection or bad luck? I didn’t have my Sibley’s bird guide with me, but it appeared to be either an adult Warsaw Crow in full breeding plumage, or a juvenile Speckled Hind Cormorant. Either way,the entire ICW could become an MPA once the species is identified.

That’s the body covering the letter “T”.

This is the head sticking out the other side.

Hahahaha, (**()ed fish birds…

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.
