Went out to 100ft today. Plenty of bottom fish there, caught most everything out there, some smaller than usual though. released a few short ARS and prob got rocked up a couple times. Fun day out with some old friends.
(Left this morning out of unfamiliar creek in the dark. I was slightly glad to see Bohicket Creek when we got past that last bar!)
That’s Dr Hay’s boat and she has brought back a BUNCH of fish over the years!!! She has been good to him and he’s been good to her, a real meat wagon. Here is a good knowledge question, and I am sure by time this post is seen many of you will learn something new, what does her name mean and how is it associated with the owner. Just thought I would add a little twist. She is a beauty and I wish I had been out fishing today instead of working.
SCREAMIN’ DRAG AND TIGHT LINES!!!

Off topic I know but a little related. I’m assuming the owner of this boat is an orthopedic surgeon. I have had a broken Navicular for most of my life. They could not fix it when I was younger. It affects everything including my fishing. Is there new technology than can fix this for me? Would be very grateful for a response. Nice catch by the way.
he is one of the greatest hand surgeons around if I am correct. I just remember him telling me and my dad about the worst case he ever saw was a donkey bite a guys hand and it was right after we bought our donkey.

correct on the boat owner.
I did not mean to draw that much info into a fishing report.
You are correct also about that boat, it has raised more than its fair share of billfish.
(Edit to add information)
Little More info about Navicula from Dr. Hay:
Latin word meaning ‘little ship’
Where the recent word ‘Navy’ is from
Navicular Bone found in the wrist and ankle of a human
Also found in the foot of a Horse, named for its shape resembling a ‘Viking Ship’
He did not know of any new treatments availble at this time.
