I want to learn about bear hunting in NC. I’ve bear hunted in upstate SC for years -stillhunting - and I don’t see as many bear as I’ve heard are seen in NC. Does anyone hunt Bear in NC?

I was in Hyde county last weekend deer hunting with a friend. In the afternoon, we saw 5 bears. The first segment of their bear season (1 week) started Monday. The next part is 2 weeks in mid December. Out of state license in NC from SC is $220 or $225. It includes big game EXCEPT bear. That tag for a non resident is extra, I think $150. I truly think Hyde county has more bears than people. Email me, and I will send you a cool pic I took with my camera phone.
