Does anyone have any advice or knowledge on the condition of the ICW around the outerbanks area? Has it been maintained or is it in bad shape? I’d prefer not to do the offshore route because I’m not too familiar with that area! I know the shoals go out pretty far around there. Thanks in advance for any advice .

The offshore route should be much easier than the inshore route as for navigating but boat size determines offshore ability
What part of OBX? Hatteras or further north
I have ran from Morehead City to Hatteras and the Sound was well marked with fixed markers. Just know the Pamlico Sound can get nastier than the Ocean. I busted my Tee top up there.
