NE 10-15 for Friday/Sat

looks like a bust for this weekend…Thank you SAFMC for the privilege of catching YOUR Red Snappers. I feel bad for all the crews that turned around (for fritz) last week.

I am holding out hope it will change, both the weather and these stupid closures…

Time to break out the eye patches…

Crews have already turned around? How far were they going out?

NOAA Fisheries sets the season, not SAFMC. Please see note about bad weather at bottom.

NOAA Fisheries Announces the Opening of the 2014 Commercial and Recreational Red Snapper Fishing Seasons in the South Atlantic Federal Waters
NOAA Fisheries announces the opening of the 2014 commercial and recreational red snapper fishing seasons in South Atlantic federal waters. NOAA Fisheries may change the commercial and recreational season dates if tropical storm or hurricane conditions exist, or are projected to exist, in the South Atlantic. If severe weather conditions exist, NOAA Fisheries will announce via NOAA Weather Radio and a Fishery Bulletin any change in the red snapper fishing seasons.

the council took our fish away, not NOAA, and if you believe that they will give us any weather days back, hold you breath, we will look for the blue guy sitting on the dock. we did not recoup any weather days last season.

WTH sent em an e-mail about our weather situation just for the hail of it…

I’m going. Screw it. At least it’s supposed to lighten up mid day Saturday.

Sell’s is correct, according to SAMFC severe weather would have to be a
tropical storm and or a hurricane…They do not look at SC weather as a separate
part of the 3 or 4 states included in the region when weather shuts the snapper days down. From what I was told,if the entire region could not fish, they might consider adding days…

SAMFC proposes changes to NMFS which is a branch of NOAA. It’s really all the same…

Someone had to jinx us. I knew we couldn't make it one weekend...

I like it rough.

With rates so low, now may be the perfect time to refinance or purchase your dream home. If you are thinking about home financing give me a ring!</font id=“blue”>

New to offshore fishing and wanted to know what yall look at to make the call on goin or not? Sat looks like 2-4ft with a 5-15kt N to NE wind from what I see… So will that be bad and what should I be looking for to make the run out

Also if anyone needs a buddy boat id like the chance to tag along to learn

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

If I see NE in the forecast I do not go. 2-4ft 5-15 knots in any other direction, I will try it.

According to the young lady I spoke with yest,we need a hurricane for the council to consider extending the snapper season…She went out Sat and caught snapper while others decided to turn back…

As a Carolina fan all I have to say is “Wait till next year.”
