Near Shore Warm Up 8/12

Decided to practice fish with a new Crew setting up for Miracles. Jim McNabe and Eric Sellers. Left the Landing at 8:00 AM, Menhaden where scattered and many boats where chasing the small schools. Headed out for the typical King grounds in a 3 foot sloppy sea. Lines in the water at 10:30. Hooked up on the short rig green and chartruse sea witch shortly there after. Eric and Jim did a good job of fighting and gaffing the fish under the difficult conditions. Was not long before the Seas stacked up to a healthy 5 Ft with some larger verticles. After a couple of solid wet downs we decided to make our way back to the calm of the Harbor for lunch. Ran 10 to 14 MPH for the end of the Jettys into that mess untill I was inside of ten miles then headed off the 12 degrees toward the Dynomite Hole and worked Felix in at 19 to 20 MPH. Came up behind and right by an expensive 27 CC with twin Yamadogs complete with long faces. Did I detect a little green hue to their faces I can’t say I wasn’t that close. Its days like this one that I wonder why I have Felix for sale for so cheap. Might have to have Boby paint her next month to dress her up.

actually that was us" the gut wrench" you passed"gordon"no green hue or long faces at all we were just chillin out taking it easy,no big hurry…

i didn’t know i was in a race, next time answer your VHF and we can race all you want…

P.S.you shouldn’t tell everyone how slow we were going, since i have such a reputation for ABUSING this boat…
