Nearshore and the 60'

Late post but Sat started @ nearshore with rougher seas than forecast as usual, so we set up camp to wait it out and caught all the BSB u can stand, too bad the seasons closed:angry:. About 1pm pushed out to the 60 and were the only boat. We were greeted by a large shark then aa sunfish. Later we even saw 3 peanuts lit up go rocketing by, which surprised us in 52 deg water. The BSB at the 60 were VERY good sized. Seas calmed down great for a 430pm ride home. Used my new contour camera for video so i didnt take any stills. Vids are on Facebook

What is the facebook link?

I could be wrong, but I don’t think it was p-nut dolphin you saw. Maybe small littly tunny or bonita. I don’t think they can survive in water that cold.

Robert Ruther, friends only so you’ll have friend me if you’re interested.

There are some P-nuts out there being caught by some commercial fishermen in Murrells Inlet

P-nuts in MI were probably caught way offshore, not 60’ and 52 degrees. Second little tunny…dolphin would be dead.

I believe it, i was diving today nearshore in 40ft 51 degree water and saw sheepshead, black sea bass, and one giant queen angelfish! I dive all the time in ft lauderdale and see them regularly. I didnt think they could survive this temp, so the dolphin might survive as well.

I see the queen angel fish all winter long.
