How far of a ride is the nearshore reef leaving from Shem Creek or Folly River…
If the water isn’t really rough it takes me about thirty five minutes to get out there from Shem Creek. Basically If memory serves just left of the third set of shipping channel buoys past the jetties.

It’s about three miles outside the jetties. Get the numbers off the dnr link on this site. On a calm day it’s 10 minutes.

Just fill the tank and the nearshore should not be a problem.

Hey Bonzo. How you been. Its a 18ft Scout. 90Hp saltwater series evinrude
Sulcataman lol. Trust me i will have it to the tip top…
GF - I would suggest you use Shem Creek and the harbor to get to the Nearshore. Stono Inlet is always changing, bouys are sometimes off and that can be a nasty inlet. It can easily have a pucker factor, especially if you aren’t familiar with it.
Yeah i actually was out by the lighthouse today and its was rough out there. Wind was cutting up.
But the wind is laying tomorrow. Not a good direction but withe an 18 scout you should have no problem, just take your time.
