hit one of the nearshore reefs with some buddies and caught about 40 BSB’s but only 4 were big enough for the frying pan. Little rough, but still a good time.

no, just used minnows and fiddlers. my buddy tossed his line in bare hook and caught one. I guess when the BSB’s are hungry they’ll eat anything.

Yea I’ve caught them on Slim Jim just to see if they would bite and they will eat just about anything they think they can take on.
I have seen them eat each other. Seriously. I caught about an 11 inch bsb and there was about a 5 inch bsb in its mouth half way eaten along with my hook and squid! crazy.
