Need advice on new trolling rods

I just purchased 4) New Shimano TLD 30’s

Will be trolling for mahi, wahoo, etc. and maybe do some bottom fishing in the spring. I want to buy some rods for these reels, would like to stay under 125.00 per rod.

If someone could point me in the right direction… I would be grateful

Would it be best to use braid with a topshot or spool the reels with 30-5o lb mono?

For trolling, I would just spool with 50 lb. mono.

Long Enuff nailed it imo, but sent ya a PM anyways from one Pioneer 197sf owner to another.

The perfect rods for those reels are the non roller 30-80# Billfisher rods. You can find them for around $75/each at places like haddrells. I have 4 billfisher rods and all are still in perfect shape. I often have time with braid going off the rollers and causing issues on roller rods. Other rods I’ve had the eyes have burned causing cuts. I’d recommend billfisher for the price point. I’ll continue to use them on my TLD25, Squall 60LD set ups. I want to upgrade to bent butts when I get my Squall 50VSW’s or TLD 50’s. Still planning to get 2 for planers, HST occasions, or just simply need the strength for certain set ups.
