Hello all!
I need an axle for my trailer. (read the post under offshore “6 year old raelean’s first offshore” and you’ll know why) I threw the hub at 50 mph and it screwed the axle all the hell. I really want a different trailer to be honest (mine never was ideal for this boat) but I don’t have the money for one right now, and i don’t want to give up fishing this season just yet either! Where can I get a decent axle at a non bank breaking price to get me through the rest of the season?
OR if anyone knows where there is a trailer that needs work but has a good axle and/or frame for a cheap price let me know. it’s for a 20’ mako, 1976 so it’s heavy for it’s size. any help would be appreciated!
I have two axles that I can sell pretty cheap,I just got an alum. trailer and have the old galv.sitting in the yard.
The hubs are still in good shape as well…

wizardref; if you cannot find an axle around you then give wesco trailors a call in west columbia/cayce. they are really easy to work with and their prices are reasonable. good luck
I appreciate the returns! I will get back to you capehorn and bluesman; Thanks for everyone’s help. Hope to figure something out soon, I am ready to hit the water again!
