need an axle

I took my boat off the CF.com classifieds due to my discovery that the axle is just about rusted through. The wheels are bowing out alot. I am surprised I made it back from Wappoo Cut last week.

Where is a good place to buy a new (or quality used axle). The square tube part looks pretty good, perhaps I only need the inserts.

Please does anyone have some suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Northern tool on rivers or fields welding on cross county.

Seels outboard on HWY 17 West ashley has a great trailer dept. Also has stainless u-bolts.

Had good luck with Iron Knight Trailers in North Charleston. Good work at a fair price.

Good Luck.

Try Corbins Hitch and Trailer, they can make an axle to fit what you have. Talk to Steve

Fields Ornamental on Cross County Rd. They make them there, are fast, and very reasonable price. I took my trailer there, they took a few measurements, and called my at 10am the next morning - done! I installed myself to save some $ and everything lined up perfect.

2000 SeaPro 180CC w/ Yammy 115 2 stroke
1966 13’ Boston Whaler w/ Merc 25 4 stroke “Flatty”

thanks for the information folks. Just went by Seels an they have an axle that includes hubs for $250. Pretty good deal compared to some online sites. When I get time to replace it, I will most likely get it from Seels.
