I just purchase a 84 Mako CC and I want to start offshore fishing. I only want to travel out to the reefs because I don’t know how far a 23 Mako can go with a 250 Yamamha and I’m still GREEN.
What is a all around test line to fish the reefs and if I was to find some “LOST” tuna close by or whahoo, what is a good test line for them. I purchased four 30-50lb, Penn Rods with 500L and 309M Reels today from a yard sale.
They look almost new but no line. Please advise? Also, I think if I want to play with tuna/whahoo I need a better rods and reels. Thanks!
