Hey yall. So during spring break I’m getting back together with an old friend from grade school and I wanted to take him fly fishing. Now we’re both only 20 so we’re trying to save money and go somewhere close or local. I’ve heard good things about northern Georgia, the mountains in North Carolina and some places here. We’re trying to fish two or three full days .
I need some advice on charters. The parameters are we don’t want to spend more than $400 for full day (8 hr) trip, we wanna be put on fish and get quite a few of them, and salt or fresh doesn’t really matter just whatever produces more and is cheaper.
So if anyone has any recomendations on fly fishing charters that are good guides in SC, northern GA, or NC please let me know!
Thanks!
I’m so salt life I get land sick.

Call Davidson river outfitter.walker parrot. They have private water to fish pretty cheap. You can also camp at pisgah Forrest campground and fish the Davidson and it feeder creeks.

x2 on Walker. He’s a great guy, works hard, and will put you on some fish.
Thanks y’all!
Where actually is Hunter Banks guide to? Is there a campgrond nearby I could put my tent up at?

Hunter Banks is in Asheville. Davidson River Outfitters is in Brevard. Walker and those guys are top notch and will help you out with whatever you need. The pisgah national forrest is 1 mile from the shop and the davidson river runs right behind the shop. The campground is right on the river. you can fall out of your tent and be in the river. There are primitive sites up the mountian if you really wanted to rough it, but I enjoy a shower and electricty at my camp site. I enjoyed going up the mountian and fishing avery creek and looking glass falls just as much. fish are smaller but more fun. If you need anything, hop in your car and in 3 minutes you can be at the shop or walmart.
