Need help installing

So this is what i am trying to figure out. Trying to connect my auto/manual bilge pump to my 3 pronge toggle switch to my fuse box. The toggle switch is a on off on switch.this switch is used to either cut my bilge on automatically or manual.
Trying to figure out how to wire this up…

Center wire to battery.
Automatic prong, wire to one side of float/field sensor.
Manual prong, Splice wire into the other side of float/field sensor wire to pump.

In auto mode power controlled through sensor.
Manual mode will bypass sensor.

So dparker677, do i need a 6 pronge switch or will the 3 pronge work. Honestly im co fused on the field sensor part. I made a sketch of everything but the site is not letting me add pics. Site must be still messed up…

Should look like that.

Field switch works like a float switch with out the float. It uses a “field”.

Ok.See my bilge pump have 3 wires, the brown wire(manual)
brown/white wire(auto)and a
black wire(ground)… With it being auto and manual with 3 wires that is what is giving me a hard time. I hooked all my other electronics up but this bilge is giving me the business…lol giving me

Yeah my manual bilge pump has 2 wires so i already hooked that one up with no issue on a 2 prong switch. Just was wanting to add a backup bilge with a auto switch for it.

I remember last year I was replacing my bilge pump with the auto float switch. It was a little complicated so I was talking to myself out loud as I was splicing the wires. I was like “brown and white blah blah blah”. Then I started looking around thinking Lordy I hope the neighbors don’t hear me they will think I’m crazy!!!
It came out okay though. You can do it. Just take your time.

Dorado I know right. It is crazy because I am the wiring type. I’ve wired my whole boat up from my surround stereo to my manual bilge pump to my navigation lights to my inside and outside docking lights to my spot light to my trolling motor but this auto bilge pump have gave me the devil… I know this don’t suppose to be this hard…lol

GF, sounds like you have a bilge pump with a built in float switch. If so, this is a schematic for it.
