Need help on set ups.

I have 2 Penn Torque40 and a Penn Battle8000. Just want some idea’s on how you would set them up. using braid or mono, what size rod. mainly want to bottom fish. Thanks for any help

Braid for bottom fishing, I have 80 power pro on all my bottom fishing stuff

definitely braid you can get a large spool of 150 off ebay pretty cheap. and as short and stout a rod as you can find. I M O

Braid all day long for bottom fishing. Theres no other line that will give you the sensitivity that braid provides. Power Pro is my favorite. If the price isnt within budget to fill your reels then just fill the reel with 30lb mono and put 150 yards of braid on top.

Be careful with all braid. You will pull hooks with heavy drag and no give.
