NEED HELP ON WATEREE FOR 8/19

I plan on going 8/19 and I haven’t seen one post about stripes on Wateree. I have a lake map, so a general direction would be appreciated. We’re not taking my boat and I’m not sure where we’re putting in. Any help is better than nothing. Thanks in advance. MIKE

I never fished it but i heard to fish down lines at in the river channel. I would put in at the launch by the dam and start at the dam. There is plenty of bait at the spillway if you can through a net. Also heard there is a ton of bait in the lake. Like I said, I never fished there so this is all heresay(sp?) But it did not seem like anyone was answering.

and ask those guys. Although it is supposed to be a crappie fishing forum, they talk about stripers as well, and most fish on Wateree.
