I am looking to buy a new power pole or Minn Kota talon to put on my Hewes. If anyone has either one, would you please give me some pros and cons. Any info is appreciated, from installing to where to get the best deal to buy one. Thanks in advance…
powerpole hands down go with 8ft and maybe a remote if you have a trolling motor. Mount on left side if you are right handed, so it wont get in your way while poling. Hanckel does a great job installing them
No comparison power pole is the only way to go and I agree with AF might just as well save some $$ and start out with an 8 footer and a remote. I have a Hewes an I started with a 6 footer but now have two 8s and if you ever use a remote you’ll be lost without it. Power Pole also has the absolute best Customer/Tech support of any company that I have ever dealt with.

PowerPole is the best. Good tips with above post. I installed one on a friend of mines Hewe’s a few weeks ago. He loves it. PM me if you get one. Installation is easy.

A good friend of mine was driving down I75 outside of Tampa and the Power Pole deployed into the asphalt at 75 mph! He didn’t know it until another driver flagged him down, so he pulled over and checked it out. Said there was a furrow down the road as far back as he could see Zero damage to the PP or the boat. Those scoundrels are tough!!
He is a lot more careful now with the remote when trailering:wink:
PP all the way.
