Gone out three weeks in a row fishing for sharks and had no luck, ive fished day and night and nothing!!! ive tried mullet, shrimp, and menhaden and nothing and i was just hoping some one could help mecatch some? I dont have but a little 14 footjohn boat so i cant go far, anywhere between dewees inlet and around the harbour wouldbe prefered, trying to get a couple of other guys involved in fishing and figured a shark would be the way to go:smiley:

The problem is you are shark fishing. Go bottom fishing for reds and you will catch sharks. I tried like hell to catch a shark on Saturday and couldn’t hook one. Almost any time I bottom fish with larger bait for reds or flounder, I catch sharks.

You should be able to catch all you want in Dewees inlet. Try fishing on the slope of the channel. If you want bonnetheads, do a search on here for them and you’ll find a ton of info. They are all over right now. Especially on the edges of the marsh around oysters.
