were are some good spots to put in to fish by yak?
where abouts do you live, i know a lot of places around folly, ashley river, and stono – where are you interested in fishing and what are you targeting?
i live in summerville, and i’m interested in fishing for sea trout. i’ve been fishing the wando but haven’t managed to catch any sea trout of decent size. i fished multiple days and got skukned every day but one. on that day i caught 7 seatrout none longer than 9 inches. i fish fresh water a lot by yak and am interested in fishing saltwater more. any tips will be helpful.
One of the easiest ways to find a lot of spots is to check out the Charleston county parks and recreation commission. THey have a pamplet that lists all of the CCPRC launches in the area. I will now attemp to post the link to the online version of the pamplet but do not typically have luck in making these links work. There is a Coastal Expeditions Map sold at most bait shops/ piers, etc…That show all the ramps, camping, and throw-ins in the coastal half of the state. (fresh & salt)I got mine at the park store at Hunting Is. I have seen several other places since then.
