I had another thread going about replacing the shaft seals but I have a crack in the housing, so gear oil is leaking like crazy. I have a 1994 Honda 35hp short shaft, anyone got one?

I have a BF50 (runs great sorry no parts available)I think they share the same parts.
I have some saved searches on eBay, but rarely see the housing for sale.
It can be fixed.

Gotta keep an eye on the corrosion around the spanner nut. That is what expands and cracks the housing.

I can’t find the nut I bought right now.
When you fix it, or need to get the big nut off, buy a replacement one, they are only $14, then go to an autoparts store and look at the 4 wheel drive spindle nut sockets. The one that fit cost me $11 at Parks Auto parts.

I cut the back of it off where the socket wrench is supposed to go and re-welded it after turning it 180 degrees so the prop shaft would fit through it.
Hope this helps.
